Juli Louwers, instructor

RYT 200 - Juli began practicing yoga 21 years ago while searching for an exercise form that would focus on the mind and spirit as well as the body. In 2017 she completed her 200-hr. Yoga Teacher Training at Pai Yoga in Dublin, Ohio studying Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and has been teaching for 5 years.

Juli's passion for teaching centers on uniting the breath with movement in  the hopes of each class becoming a moving meditation for practicing yogis.

More About Juli

Q.- How did you first come to find yoga? My first experience with yoga was in a neighborhood home where we’d meet once per week. I immediately took to the practice, loving learning the poses and challenging my body and mind in a completely new way. It added a sense of balance and community to my life immediately.

Q.- What are some key ways it has supported you in your life? I have a little “mantra” I repeat often: happy, healthy, whole. Yoga supports this for me in so many ways. There are of course the many health benefits to practicing. There is also the invitation to dwell in my wholeness while on my mat-the knowledge that I am grounded, centered, and wholly enough. These aspects of practicing yoga give me a sense of peace and happiness that I carry with me in my daily life.

Q. What do you like most about teaching? Sharing what I’ve learned about and through yoga is a passion of mine. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to creatively  teach, and am so thankful for the community that is such an important part of practicing yoga.

Q- Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself? We have lived in Dublin for 25 years.  My husband Bob  and I will celebrate our 34th anniversary this October. We have four grown children and one sweet grandson! My daughter (our youngest) and I did our yoga teacher training together when she was 20 and I was 51!  What a fun adventure to share. I love traveling, reading, decorating my home, and mostly really doing anything with my family.

Q- If you could learn anything new what would it be? I consider myself a lifelong learner. I am always reading and researching to learn new things. I have completed several college courses through Coursera (the last one being The Science of Well-being through Yale) and plan to take more. I don’t have a specific thing I am focusing on at this time but am always open to new possibilities!

Q- Name something on your bucket list. The next big thing on my bucket list is to travel to the United Kingdom. I’ve always wanted to visit Ireland and Scotland as well London, England. I love learning about the history there, and would enjoy seeing the castles, and historic cities as well as the beautiful countryside.
